Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to oversee electrical power system upgrades across North America. You will manage full lifecycle projects from identification to implementation, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective distribution upgrades. Travel 50% and on-call coverage are required.

The role requires deep power systems knowledge, experience in strategy, design, construction, and maintenance, and ability to communicate complex concepts to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in technical infrastructure management.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems (switchgear, UPS, transformers).
• 5+ years in distribution or manufacturing field.

Responsibilities

• Identify sites and develop conceptual designs for upgrades of low/medium voltage systems.
• Coordinate with engineering firms and contractors to ensure standards compliance.
• Perform project estimates and ROI calculations; secure funding.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Travel up to 50% to facilities across North America; provide 24/7 on-call support 3–4 weeks annually.
