Job summary
Exelon Corporation in Illinois seeks an Electrical/Mechanical Design Engineer to develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for utility infrastructure projects. You will perform field engineering and coordinate with internal teams and customers to meet project needs, including 24x7 coverage during storms.
The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to analyze complex systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or associate degree in a technical field, or 5-7 years of related experience.
- Ability to analyze electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proficient CAD drawing and design skills.
- Valid driver's license and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of materials for complex utility systems.
- Coordinate installation, removal, or modification of infrastructure projects with internal teams and customers.
- Prepare and review field engineering plans to meet customer need dates.
- Support project scopes and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
