Job summary

IonQ in College Park, MD is seeking a Technical Programme Manager for Electrical Engineering to drive hardware-focused workstreams across hardware, firmware, and test in our quantum electronics teams.

You'll build integrated schedules, align stakeholders across design, procurement, NPI and production, and translate complex requirements into actionable plans while partnering with physicists and engineers on the quantum roadmap.

Qualifications

Technically fluent programme manager with hardware experience.
Experience across the full hardware lifecycle including firmware and lower level test.
Exposure to firmware or RTL to judge estimate realism.
Degree in electrical engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus.
Comfort working with physicists and engineers and translating progress into clear reporting.

Responsibilities

Drive control electronics workstreams across hardware, gateware, firmware and test.
Build integrated schedule, challenge estimates and surface risk early.
Coordinate orders, parts and boards with procurement, materials management and suppliers; resolve long lead issues.
Drive cross-functional execution with physics, systems, embedded software, NPI and production; take issues to closure.
Establish programme cadences and executive reporting, including dashboards and decision logs.
