Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking a field-based foreman to lead the construction of solar fields and related electrical scope. This hands-on role requires working outdoors across various weather conditions and coordinating underground and above-ground installations.

Ideal candidates will have GED or equivalent education, experience in solar construction, and strong teamwork and safety focus, with the ability to train others on underground work practices.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent education.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and maneuver materials.
• Experience on solar construction projects preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in varied, extreme weather conditions.
• Demonstrates safety, quality of work, attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Perform DC trench, MV trench, and MV cable install tasks.
• Install CAB transition conduits and fiber where required.
• Carry out DC/ MV splices and SCADA equipment installs.
• Install CABs, combiner boxes, terminations, and labeling.
• Conduct fiber terminations and LOto compliance.
• Perform testing such as VOC, IV curve, IR scans and field surveys.

Position Summary:

This is a field-based, hands-on position in which successful candidates contribute to the construction of a solar field. This position supports the electrical scope.

*Electrical General Foreman must be able to train others on all aspects of Underground. *

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+ pound materials, maneuvering them into their proper places
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on solar construction projects preferred
• Models behavior in safety, quality of work, attendance and punctuality, productivity, teamwork
• Actively embodies Signal's Core Principles and the One Team Approach: including planning, communication, and collaboration - especially modeling dispute resolution
• Provides timely documentation of field decisions and reporting, such as Tier Boards and Production Tracking.
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards

Education:

• GED or equivalent education
