Job summary

CoVolt Power in Iowa is seeking a field-based Electrical Foreman to support solar field construction and the electrical scope. The role involves hands-on installation, trenching, wiring, terminations, and coordination with crew members to safely deliver projects on time.

Candidates should have GED or equivalent, ability to lift heavy material, work outdoors in varied weather, strong teamwork, and prior solar construction experience preferred. Training others on underground work is expected.

Responsibilities

• DC Trench, DC Feeder Install, and MV trench work as part of the electrical scope.
• Conduct MV cable install, conduit work, and wiring terminations.
• Support SCADA equipment installation and field documentation.
• Train others on underground electrical work and site safety.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards on-site.

• Electrical General Foreman must be able to train others on all aspects of Underground.

Skills/Abilities

• Able to lift 50+ pound materials, maneuvering them into their proper places
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on solar construction projects preferred
• Models behavior in safety, quality of work, attendance and punctuality, productivity, teamwork

• Provides timely documentation of field decisions and reporting, such as Tier Boards and Production Tracking.
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards
