The Vertex Companies LLC is seeking an Electrical Forensic Engineer to investigate electrical system failures across residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-related equipment. You will conduct field inspections, analyze evidence, and prepare technical reports for clients, insurance carriers, attorneys, and other stakeholders.

This role combines engineering, field work, and investigative analysis, ideal for curious, detail-oriented individuals passionate about understanding root causes.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2+ years related experience, or an advanced degree with no experience, or 5 years related work experience and no degree.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.

Mansioni

• Conduct forensic investigations involving electrical system failures, fires, explosions, equipment damage, and power distribution issues.
• Perform site inspections to document conditions, collect evidence, and evaluate electrical components and systems.
• Analyze physical evidence, engineering data, testing results, and documentation to determine cause and origin of failures.
• Develop engineering opinions supported by technical analysis, standards, and industry best practices.
• Prepare clear, concise, and defensible technical reports summarizing findings and conclusions.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, maintenance records, and incident reports.
• Perform engineering calculations and research to support findings and recommendations.
• Assist with litigation support activities as required.
