Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial and industrial electrical projects. The role requires guiding Journeyman, Apprentices and Helpers, ensuring high-quality installation, safety and schedule adherence.

With 7–10 years of electrical construction experience, the candidate will read blueprints, develop manpower plans and material lists, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals while maintaining NEC standards.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Exhibits understanding of a small, assigned scope of work and communicates with other trades.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site
• Work alongside their crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards
• Assist in developing an effective manpower schedule for their team
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands and communicate lists to supervision
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicating that to the team
• Ensure all work by crew complies with local and NEC guidelines
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics
• Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits
