Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial and industrial electrical installations, alterations and repairs. The role requires directing Journeyman, Apprentices and Helpers on site, mentoring staff, and ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.

You will read specs and blueprints, develop material lists, and coordinate with supervision to maintain schedules and budgets while adhering to NEC guidelines.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Proven leadership, able to mentor a crew of five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Capable of reading blueprints and contract documents; communicates with other trades.
• Able to learn BlueBeam, Navisworks, and related project planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop manpower schedule for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands.
• Help meet production and budget goals by communicating plans to the team.
• Ensure work is within local and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels, and feeders.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics; lay out work from drawings.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
