Job summary

Comfort Systems USA seeks an experienced Foreman Electrician to lead a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman electricians on industrial/commercial projects in Jackson, TN. You will oversee installation, alteration and repair of electrical systems while guiding, training, and evaluating your crew.

The role requires strong leadership, blueprint interpretation, and ability to manage schedules and ensure safety and quality to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Proven leadership abilities with the ability to mentor and coach a small crew.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specs.
• Strong coordinating and scheduling skills to develop manpower plans.
• Excellent communication with trades and supervision to assign work effectively.
• Willingness to learn field training and adapt to project schedules, including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work and adherence to high standards.
• Develop an effective manpower schedule for the team.
• Create material lists from layouts and job site demands; communicate to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by coordinating with the team.
• Ensure all crew work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and fittings.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics to execute scope.
• Lay out work from drawings and documents, including underground layouts.
• Determine wire, conduit and junction box sizing accurately.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and power circuits.
