Job summary

EPI Power, LLC, a subsidiary of The Weitz Company, is hiring an electrical General Foreman to be located on a data center project site. The General Foreman will supervise electricians, apprentices, helpers, and temp workers on a non-union project.

You will analyze production, oversee foremen, interpret blueprints, maintain safety, track progress, and report material needs. Strong leadership, blueprint reading, and safety compliance are essential for success in this dynamic data center team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• A valid Iowa Class A or B license is preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure.
• Ability to make complex cuts and forming systems to minimize waste.
• Training in safety rules and performing with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, write routine correspondence and speak clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workers, foresee production problems and suggest solutions.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of the electrical Foreman.
• Interpret blueprints, designs and specifications to ensure proper installation.
• Maintain safety programs and review daily Job Hazard Analyses.
• Supervise and evaluate electricians and apprentices.
• Advise supervisors on progress, material needs and personnel matters.
• Inspect work for quality and customer satisfaction.
• Track crew production and set attainable daily goals.
• Distribute information to the crew Foreman and project manager.
• Attend weekly crew safety meetings and ensure crew engagement.
