Job summary

Mallory Electric is seeking a qualified Foreman for commercial and government projects in the Hampton Roads, VA area. You will lead field crews, schedule activities, determine material needs, and coordinate with general contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget electrical installations.

Qualifications

• Must hold journeyman or master electrician certification.
• Experience in commercial/industrial electrical work on military bases.
• US citizen; drug-free; reliable and self-motivated.
• Able to interpret plans, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Own required tools; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Schedule work activities, determining material needs, coordinating work with general contractors.
• Install and repair electrical conduit, wiring, equipment and fixtures.
• Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and fire alarm systems.
• Oversee employee productivity to maintain budget.
• Organize and instruct work crews in their task assignments.
• Apply safety standards to work methods and adhere to all quality and safety codes.
• Apply National Electric Code requirements to all work.
