Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a seasoned Training Specialist to design and deliver technical training for field personnel in the Berlin CT Training Yard. You will oversee classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job sessions, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and practical skill transfer to apprentices and journeymen.

The role requires eight years of related craft experience in transmission/distribution, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of direct craft experience in Transmission, Distribution and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers and supervising employees.
• Training or instructional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and conducts technical training programs to ensure safe and effective performance of Field Training.
• Supervises, directs and instructs trainees during classroom, hands-on and on-the-job training assignments.
• Evaluates trainee performance to ensure understanding and proper application of standards and procedures.
• Ensures work meets Company standards and emphasizes safety and quality.
• Drives top-quartile safety and fosters teamwork across distributions and transmission groups.
