Job summary

ExpressPros - Appleton, WI is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Technician to join our field services team in Wisconsin. The role focuses on reading electrical one-line drawings and performing testing and maintenance of low, medium, and high voltage power systems, including start-up and commissioning.

Candidates will inspect, test, repair, and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment such as switchgear, transformers, relays, and circuit breakers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in testing and evaluating low/medium/high voltage power systems.
• Strong understanding of NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Specifications, NFPA70B.
• Ability to read NEC/NFPA-70E and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand electrical one-line drawings.
• Perform testing and maintenance of power distribution systems, startup and commissioning.
• Inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair LV/MV/HV equipment including ATS, circuit breakers, conductors, relays, starters, switchgear, transformers.
• Perform power system studies such as Short Circuit & Coordination, Arc Flash and Load Flow.
• Operate infrared thermography camera and generate detailed reports.
