Placements24 is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to cover the Upington region, delivering technical expertise and sales support for electrical components, motors, drives, switches, and control systems. You will engage engineers, procurement specialists, and project managers to tailor solutions to complex needs and drive regional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in a technical sales or field engineering role selling electrical components or industrial automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, industrial applications, and component specifications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in CRM software and technical sales tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the assigned territory.
• Understand customer application requirements and provide expert technical advice on electrical components.
• Promote and sell a range of electrical components including motors, drives, switches, and control systems.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to client needs.
• Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and site visits.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and product management teams to ensure customer satisfaction and identify market needs.
• Achieve and exceed regional sales targets and KPIs.
• Manage the sales pipeline from initial contact to order fulfillment.
• Stay abreast of new technologies, products, and market trends in electrical engineering.
