You will manage design, procurement, construction, and work with clients and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Requires a BEng in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in power projects; travel within the Eastern Cape and a valid driver's license. Company vehicle and professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering or project management within the power distribution sector.
• Experience managing electrical infrastructure projects including substations and distribution networks.
• Strong understanding of power system analysis, protection, and control.
• Knowledge of South African and international electrical standards.
• Proficiency in project management software and design tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience with site supervision and commissioning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical power distribution projects, including substations, overhead lines, and underground cabling systems.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee design, engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards (NRS, IEC), and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor progress, and resolve technical/logistical issues.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and contractor submittals.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare project reports including progress updates, financial status, and closure documentation.
• Facilitate project meetings and ensure effective communication.
