Job summary

JT4, LLC, a provider of engineering and technical support to national test ranges, seeks a Maintenance Trades Specialist II - Electrical to join our field teams. You will install, maintain, or repair electrical equipment and analyze blueprints and layouts to diagnose issues on facilities and machinery.

The role requires five years of experience in the electrical base trade, an apprenticeship background, the ability to obtain DoD clearance, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Incumbent must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and completed training as part of a formal apprenticeship program.
• Incumbent must have five (5) years of directly related work experience with demonstrated proficiency in the Electrical base trade.
• Working knowledge of a second trade either through on the job training or continuing education.
• Must possess a working knowledge of the technical terminology and language structure related to a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment/systems supported by the work unit.
• Must have basic personal computer skills and knowledge of applications software and database usage sufficient to maintain records and files.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• May be required to qualify for and maintain a government security clearance.
• Must have a valid, current state-issued driver’s license.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, or repair any variety of electrical equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
• Examine blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
• Work standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
• Use of hand tools, measuring, and testing instruments specific to the electrical trade.
• May provide work direction and/or instruct lower level maintenance workers as required.
• Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
