Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced water treatment commissioning specialist to supervise erection, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of a water treatment plant near Odessa, TX. The role includes coordination with design, field teams, and customers to ensure safe, compliant startup.

Expect remote collaboration with 75% travel, strong focus on safety, quality, and technical instruction, plus ongoing support during warranty and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in water treatment field or 10 years in construction/commissioning.
• Strong ability to read electrical drawings and interpret schematics.
• Experience installing, calibrating and maintaining water treatment equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer-relations skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise erection and commissioning of water treatment plant.
• Provide technical instruction during installation and startup at customer sites.
• Manage outside vendors and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Develop SOPs and log sheets for equipment monitoring.
• Coordinate with automation and electrical teams for project execution.
