Job summary

BTD is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to lead the startup of water treatment plants in the United States. You will plan, supervise, and execute equipment installation, commissioning, and testing, coordinating with engineering, construction, and operations teams.

The role requires 5+ years in EPC and WTP commissioning, a Civil/Mechanical/Industrial background, SCADA knowledge, and willingness to travel. You will mentor the commissioning team and deliver final documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Specialization in water treatment plants.
• 5+ years in EPC projects and WTP commissioning.
• Knowledge of process control systems (SCADA).

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise equipment installation activities.
• Develop the detailed commissioning schedule and planning.
• Coordinate engineering schedules with construction and operations.
• Identify technical risks and propose mitigation plans.
• Define the resources required for the start-up phase.
• Deliver final documentation including as-built drawings, manuals and quality dossier.
• Coordinate start-up and testing activities with the client's representatives.
• Manage interfaces with technology suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper communication between teams to facilitate the handover of plant operations to the client.
• Participate in technical and progress meetings during the commissioning process.
• Resolve engineering-related issues.
• Supervise testing of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Validate operational parameters and plant adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Supervise the assigned engineering team.
• Train client personnel on commissioning procedures.
• Prepare and present all technical documentation related to the commissioning process.
• Review testing protocols and results.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Prepare final commissioning reports.
