Job summary

Forsyth County (NC) is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join the Facilities Operations Electrical/Electronic maintenance team. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance across 40 county facilities, including lighting, breakers, alarm panels, and equipment inspection.

The candidate will assist other trades as needed, work from plans, and may support security-related areas. A high school diploma or GED and at least one year in the electrical trades are required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform skilled maintenance work in electrical trades.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
• Ability to oversee and assist other staff as needed.
• Requires high safety standards and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple facilities.
• Replace light bulbs, ballasts, inspect outlets, switches and breakers, diagnose alarm panels.
• Collaborate with other trades when needed (Plumbing, HVAC, General Construction).
• Work with cross-functional teams and follow written/spoken instructions.
