Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator in Sterling, VA to perform bid preparation and take-offs for lighting, power, and related electrical systems. You will work with the Pre-Construction team to develop accurate, competitive estimates and ensure timely communication of addenda to vendors.

The role requires strong NEC knowledge, experience with estimating software (Accubid), and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines with vendors and subs.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating electrical scope and quantities.
• Familiar with NEC and electrical drawings.
• Proficient in coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.
• Proficient in using Accubid or similar estimating software.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review project documents to estimate scope.
• Take-off and input items into estimating program.
• Develop bid comparison sheets for major equipment/subcontracts.
• Coordinate with subcontractors/vendors for pricing accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies and raise RFIs as needed.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
