Job summary

Enterprise Electrical is seeking an Estimator II to independently develop accurate, competitive estimates for electrical service work, commercial construction, and mission-critical/data center scopes. The role builds complete pricing, defines the scope, and ensures estimates reflect field installation practices and productivity.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical construction and service operations.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and one-line diagrams.
• NEC knowledge and its impact on scope and cost.
• Build labor estimates from real-world methods.
• Market awareness of material pricing and availability.
• Identify constructability concerns and adjust estimates.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs for conduit, feeders, lighting, panels, devices, and low-voltage/data systems.
• Prepare complete estimates for service work (T&M, troubleshooting, quoted jobs, maintenance agreements) and small-to-mid-size commercial projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, service tickets, and field input to define project scope.
• Develop labor estimates based on installation methods, site conditions, and productivity expectations.
• Build detailed material lists and pricing using vendor quotes and historical data.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor quotes (e.g., trenching, directional boring, equipment setting).
• Write clear scopes of work for subcontractors and internal teams.
• Respond to rapid-turn service pricing requests with same-day/next-day turnaround.
• Maintain and update cost databases, vendor relationships, and pricing benchmarks.
