Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our staff. You will prepare and review estimates, including lump sum, unit rate, and cost plus, and assist pre-construction activities across power, grids, and industrial projects.

With 5+ years in estimating and a strong grounding in cost analysis, you will review designs, develop quantities, and coordinate with teams to ensure credible cost projections and value engineering opportunities. Travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant estimating experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).
• BS or MS in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual estimating and cost analysis.
• Review design scope and develop quantities.
• Prepare contingency, escalation and reconciliations for estimates.
• Coordinate estimates and develop the estimate basis.
• Assist in pre-construction activities and risk assessment.
• Support site and construction input on estimates.
