Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation: Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
• Analysis of Project Documents: Conduct a thorough analysis of electrical drawings and specifications to identify components and equipment.
• Material and Labor Takeoff: Quantify electrical components and estimate labor hours for installation, testing, and related tasks.
• Cost Database Maintenance: Maintain a cost database with pricing information for materials, equipment, and labor.
• Pricing and Bidding: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals; participate in bid meetings.
• Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities and design modifications.
• Risk Assessment: Assess risks affecting cost, schedule, and feasibility; develop contingency plans.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records and generate reports on estimating activities.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure pricing accuracy.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and codes related to estimating.
