Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical estimating, engineering, or related electrical construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with electrical estimating software and digital takeoff platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical construction cost estimates from project plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
• Prepare labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, vendor, and other project cost components.
• Complete detailed electrical quantity takeoffs using estimating software and electronic construction documents.
• Review bid specifications, drawings, addenda, scope requirements, and quotations.
• Prepare and submit complete bid proposals meeting project requirements and deadlines.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, purchasing, field operations, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to improve estimate accuracy.
• Prepare estimate summaries and supporting documentation with costs, assumptions, and pricing rationale.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and site visits as required.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
