Job summary

HPM in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Electrical Preconstruction Manager to lead conceptual budgets and detailed estimates for electrical, low voltage, lighting, and related systems on large commercial and industrial projects. You will evaluate drawings and specs, manage a team, and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and owners, with travel up to 10% and a focus on accuracy and value engineering.

This role requires a deep knowledge of cost estimating, construction standards and BIM/ Trimble

Qualifications

7+ years in pre-construction/estimating on large commercial/industrial projects (electrical focus).
Advanced knowledge of construction cost estimating, value engineering, budgeting and scheduling.
Proficient in MS Office; experience with BIM/Trimble Enterprise preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform conceptual budgets and detailed estimates for electrical systems.
Lead and train a team to develop budgets and estimates across multiple projects.
Review drawings, specs, and pricing with stakeholders; ensure scope accuracy.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and owners during preconstruction.
Travel up to 10% as needed.
