Job summary

LEED Electric, Inc. in California is seeking an experienced Estimator to participate in all aspects of the bid and estimating process for electrical construction projects, from plan review to final pricing.

Responsibilities include quantity take-off, pricing, documenting assumptions during estimating, coordinating with architects/consultants, participating in bid reviews, analyzing proposals, preparing subcontract scopes, and maintaining cost databases; requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–7 years

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of progressive estimating experience in electrical construction or related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent combination considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-off and pricing of electrical estimates.
• Develop and document logical assumptions during conceptual estimating activities and apply them to take-off tasks.
• Communicate with architects and consultants to clarify scope of work and schedule requirements.
• Actively participate in internal estimate reviews and bid decisions.
• Analyze and scope trades partner electrical proposals and input data into cost databases.
• Prepare scope of work for subcontracts and budget comparisons between estimates.
