Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager in Cincinnati to lead and develop a team supporting product development and production. You will guide engineers through requirements, concept, detailed design, and testing while also supporting staff as a Staff-level Electrical Engineer.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, technical excellence, and the ability to mentor engineers across the full product lifecycle within the ESAD Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience.
• Experience designing with analog building blocks including differential amplifiers, op amps, LDOs, filters, and data converters.
• Experience with digital blocks including logic gates, flip flops, timers, and filters.
• Experience with power supply and power conditioning design.
• Experience with power conversion concepts (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC, linear and switching supplies).
• Experience with serial communication buses including UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Experience leading and managing product development teams.
• Experience with temperature sensors, MEMS accelerometers, differential pressure sensors, and gyros.
• Experience with EMI, ESD, and short-circuit protection.
• Experience with module design including component selection, circuit analysis, circuit design, and layout.
• Experience troubleshooting using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, meters).
• Experience with modeling/simulation utilities including LTSpice and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with schematic capture and board layout tools (Altium, PADS).
• Experience leading large-scale technical projects with minimal guidance.
• Experience preparing for design reviews and creating test documentation.
• Experience with root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee engineers during requirements development, concept development, detailed design, and product testing.
• Generate test plans and test reports related to product performance.
• Lead and direct test activities in all phases of product development cycle.
• Provide inputs for Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Define and improve development processes and best practices for the department.
• Support hiring, morale, attrition mitigation, and succession planning.
• Conduct performance management and provide feedback to staff.
• Mentor and develop engineers in design, build, integration, testing, and documentation.
• Foster Continuous Improvement culture within the team.
