HEPCO Inc. in Cincinnati, OH, seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in defense product development and production.

You will guide requirements, design, and testing while contributing as a senior electrical engineer on program work. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, mentoring, and technical excellence in analog/digital circuit design, power conversion, and ruggedized electronics for ordnance applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years, or graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years without a degree.
• Experience leading engineering teams and large technical projects.
• Hands-on analog and digital circuit design: amplifiers, filters, data converters, UART/SPI/I2C.
• Power supply and conversion experience (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC).
• Sensor/module design, component selection, and board layout.
• Troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, function generators, and meters.
• Experience with LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, and schematic capture/board layout tools.
• Knowledge of EMI suppression, ESD protection, design reviews, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop electrical engineers; support hiring, performance management, and resource planning.
• Oversee requirements development, concept design, detailed design, integration, and product testing.
• Design analog and digital circuits for ruggedized electronics used in ordnance applications.
• Perform circuit analyses using hand calculations and SPICE tools.
• Develop test plans and reports, lead test activities, and investigate failures using structured root cause analysis.
• Lead design reviews, prepare technical documentation, and serve as a technical contact for internal and external customers.
• Provide material and labor estimates for proposals.
