Job summary

Precision Power Solutions, a specialized division of EnerSys, seeks a Product Development Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team in developing electrochemical products for the defense sector. This role provides technical leadership, sets priorities, and manages projects to meet schedules while aligning resources and ensuring high-quality, mission-focused results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of five years of engineering leadership or product development experience.
• Strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and sound business judgment.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver technical excellence and meet schedules.
• Partner with Manufacturing to improve design for manufacturability and production transitions.
• Collaborate to develop project plans, allocate resources, and ensure execution of new product development programs.
• Ensure compliance with defense standards, customer requirements, and internal policies.
• Drive financial and profitability objectives through planning and resource management.
• Contribute to long-term strategy, culture, processes, and business growth.
• Prepare technical proposals for strategic opportunities and funding initiatives.
• Serve as a technical resource to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Build relationships with customers, government stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Establish performance expectations, coach team members, and manage career development.
