Job summary

Versique is seeking an experienced electrical engineering leader to design and approve full electrical packages for BESS, Solar PV, and EV charging deployments. The role involves DC fast charging site design, load analysis, transformer sizing, and coordination with Sales Engineering during scoping.

You’ll guide project execution, perform protection studies, and ensure NEC/NESC/IEEE compliance while mentoring junior staff. Remote work none; travel regional 10–15%.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree is required.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• 8–12+ years in LV/MV power distribution and DER integration.
• Experience in power and energy systems.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with ETAP, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience developing QA processes and performance metrics.
• Experience handling utility-scale interconnection processes.
• Knowledge of EV charging standards and load-management strategies.
• Travel up to 10–15% regionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and approve electrical design packages for BESS, Solar PV, and EV charging deployments.
• Oversee DCFC site designs, including load analysis, transformer sizing, distributions, and heat considerations.
• Provide senior guidance to Sales Engineering during scoping and feasibility.
• Support project execution with RFIs and real-time design adjustments.
• Manage system protection studies and device coordination.
• Direct DER integrations into microgrids and multiple DERs.
• Perform short circuit, arc flash, load flow, grounding, and harmonics studies.
• Ensure NEC/NESC/IEEE compliance and utility interconnection coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and uphold engineering quality and consistency.
