Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks an Engineering Intern in Atlanta to apply standard engineering techniques to design and update systems. You’ll assist lead engineers on projects across Aviation, Global Facilities, and Transmission & Distribution, performing data entry, reporting, and collaborative problem solving.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET preferred), in good standing, with a 3.0 GPA, and prior internship experience.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus/community involvement encouraged.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with eagerness to learn and grow.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Respond to general questions and support teams.
• Collect and analyze data for continuous improvement.
• Present solution concepts to concerns and stakeholders.
• Research solutions to project questions and recommend approaches.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Demonstrate leadership and initiative in project tasks.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
