Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks an Engineering Intern to apply standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers, and update designs. Projects vary across Aviation & Federal markets, including facilities, runways, and related infrastructure.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree, with ABET accreditation preferred, a minimum GPA of 3.0, and strong communication and analytical skills. On-site internship in Atlanta with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn, with aptitude to grow.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and design updates.
• Support design and updating of engineering systems; vary by market.
• Contribute to Aviation & Federal program tasks and requirements.
