Job summary

WSP USA invites a Civil Engineering Intern to join the Fort Worth, TX team for a 12‑week summer program starting May 17, 2027. The role supports a variety of engineering tasks under senior engineers, with opportunities to work on substation design and transmission projects.

You must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or related program, be 18+, and authorized to work in the United States. This internship includes mentorship and professional exposure through the Developing Professionals

Qualifications

Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related undergraduate program with graduation date Aug 2027 or later.
Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
Interest in the field and desire to develop skills related to WSP's projects.

Responsibilities

Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
Work under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Participate in substation design, including physical, electrical, relaying, and grounding aspects.
Support transmission and distribution projects.
Gain experience in system relaying and protection studies.
Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
Complete training on assigned tasks.
