Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Full-Time Electrical Engineering (Substation) Intern to join our Saint Louis, MO office for a 12-week summer program starting May 17, 2027. Currently enrolled undergrad or grad students are encouraged to apply and gain hands-on exposure to real projects.

The role emphasizes training, mentorship, and collaboration with senior staff, with no relocation or housing assistance offered. Start date is flexible to accommodate coursework and program timing.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date Aug 2027 or later.
• Preferred qualifications include active enrollment in a Masters or PhD program in Electrical Engineering (Aug 2027 or later).
• Ability to work with mentors and manage projects under supervision.
• Ability to communicate with engineering and non-engineering audiences clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
• Support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Help prepare design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
