Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Intern in Rochester/Albany to gain hands-on experience on a range of public and private sector projects. You will work with our engineers under supervision to develop practical electrical design skills and a solid technical foundation.

The internship offers exposure to lighting/controls, power distribution, energy efficiency, and fire alarm systems while using Revit and AutoCAD alongside MS Office tools in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and PDF editing software.
• Ability to learn Revit and AutoCAD and apply basic electrical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract drawings, calculations, specifications, schedules, and details using Revit, AutoCAD, and Excel.
• Participate in Summer Intern Design Project with interns of other building design disciplines.
• Facilitate and ensure the quality of the project deliverables.
• Follow production guidelines and project standards of the department.
• Learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems.
• Support team operations and promote health and safety culture.
• Coordinate with other cross discipline professionals on assigned project.
