Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Intern in Washington, DC.

You will join a team of engineers on multiple projects for public and private clients, developing skills under supervision of a senior Electrical Engineer while contributing to electrical design work. This internship focuses on planning, design development, and documentation for lighting, power distribution, energy efficiency, and fire alarm systems in varied facilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Undergrad/graduate student with interest in electrical design and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Work with Building Electrical Engineers to prepare contract drawings, calculations, specs, schedules, and details from concept to construction documents.
• Use Revit, AutoCAD and Excel to support design deliverables.
• Participate in summer intern project with other building design interns.
• Help ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and department guidelines.
• Learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems.
• Support team operations and promote health and safety culture.
