Job summary

Stantec invites an Electrical Intern to join our Buildings team in a hands‑on, real‑world setting. You will work with experienced engineers on multiple projects for public and private clients, gaining practical skills in electrical design and documentation.

You will develop knowledge under direct supervision, focusing on lighting, power distribution, energy efficiency, and safety. This internship emphasizes collaboration, learning CAD tools, and contributing to project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Experience with electrical design basics and CAD software is a plus.
• Ability to work under supervision and learn on real projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Building Electrical Engineers to prepare drawings and specifications.
• Assist with calculations, schedules and details from concept to construction documents.
• Support design teams using Revit, AutoCAD and Excel.
• Help ensure adherence to local codes and project standards.
• Contribute to quality control and effective communication within the team.
