Job summary

Stantec is offering an Electrical Intern position in the Buildings group, based in the United States. You will work with a team of engineers on varied projects for public and private sector clients, gaining hands-on experience under the supervision of a senior Electrical Engineer.

This internship emphasizes practical knowledge in lighting, power distribution, energy efficiency, and systems design, with exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Proficiency in MS Office and PDF editing software.
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn under supervision and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract drawings, calculations, specifications, using Revit, AutoCAD, and Excel.
• Participate in the Summer Intern Design Project with other building design interns.
• Help ensure quality of project deliverables and follow department standards.
• Assist with development of electrical plans for lighting, power, and controls.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary professionals on projects.
