Job summary

Stantec invites an Electrical Intern to join our Buildings group in Rochester/Albany. You will assist engineers on multiple projects for public and private clients, gaining hands-on experience in electrical design through supervision by a licensed Electrical Engineer.

The role focuses on learning, creating electrical plans, and applying fundamental engineering principles in a collaborative, safety‑driven environment with exposure to lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office and PDF editors (Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam).
• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contract drawings, calculations, specs, schedules, and details from concept to construction using Revit, AutoCAD and Excel.
• Participate in Summer Intern Design Project with other building disciplines.
• Ensure quality of project deliverables and adherence to standards.
