Job summary

Burns & McDonnell invites you to join our Engineering Intern program in Brea, CA, offering hands-on experience in electrical engineering and facility systems. You will assist with design tasks, update drawings, support lead engineers, collect and analyze data, and present solutions to project concerns.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with ABET accreditation preferred, and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a post-secondary program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship/related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn with ability to grow in the field.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with standard design of engineering systems and updating designs.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and documentation.
• Collect and analyze data to support continuous improvement and present solutions.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
