Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Seattle, WA is seeking a Electrical Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program. You will assist on design and documentation for building systems under guidance of experienced engineers, with hands-on exposure to high-performance design in hospitality, mixed-use, and government markets.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Previous exposure to CAD and/or BIM software.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech to individuals or groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment resources.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedules with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, etc.).
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy before final checks.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement.
