Job summary

IMEG in Rock Island, IL invites enthusiastic Electrical Engineering students to join our 10-12 week Summer Internship. You will work with a team of engineers on analysis, design, and oversight of electrical systems in buildings, gaining real project experience as you support design coordination and documentation.

During the program, you’ll contribute to education-focused building projects while learning high-performance, energy-efficient design aligned with industry standards such as MEP2050 and

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Exposure to CAD/BIM software.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Clear oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings.
• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards.
• Support project work within budget while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Assist with researching resources for commercially available equipment.
• Assist with client relations, project design notebook, and documentation.
