Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Houston, TX is seeking Engineering Interns to perform tasks using standard engineering techniques and procedures, supporting lead engineers on design, documentation and data tasks. Projects vary by market, including 1898 & Co.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education or technical certificate program in a field related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus/community or volunteer activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn; aptitude to grow within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
