Job summary

BKV Group is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering (Built Environment) to lead the local electrical engineering practice in Dallas, TX. You will direct multidisciplinary project delivery, sign and seal deliverables, and mentor staff while aligning standards and business development efforts.

This hybrid leadership and technical role requires PE licensure and 10–15 years of experience in built-environment projects, overseeing design, documentation, and coordination with cross-disciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10–15 years of progressive electrical engineering design and leadership experience.
• Expert knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and Energy Codes (ASHRAE/IECC); familiarity with IBC, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, NFPA 110.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu; AGi32; COMcheck; SKM Power*Tools; Cummins GenSize.
• Experience leading engineering teams, managing project budgets, and presenting to executive clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead Senior Electrical Engineer on assigned projects and sign/seal deliverables.
• Meet with clients to translate goals into power, lighting, and life-safety systems.
• Manage workloads and scheduling for local electrical staff; monitor revenue goals.
• Partner on workforce planning, onboarding, reviews, promotions, and compensation.
• Oversee QA/QC procedures and BIM standards with leadership.
• Support business development through proposals, fee estimations, and client engagements.
