Job summary

BKV Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across multiple project types, including commercial, multi-family, and civic developments. The role will oversee design direction, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor engineers at the Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL sites.

The ideal candidate has a PE license and 10+ years of electrical building systems experience, with strong Revit skills and a track record of QA/QC and client communication.

Qualifications

• Active PE license.
• Minimum of 10 years focused electrical building systems design experience (power, lighting, life-safety).
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit for electrical design and documentation.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills; able to lead design discussions and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project design criteria and performance parameters for compliant, energy-efficient electrical systems.
• Lead electrical engineering calculations, models, and construction document sets.
• Coordinate electrical design with architecture, structure, MEP, and project management teams.
• Support construction administration with submittals, RFIs, and field condition evaluation.
• Provide mentorship and career guidance to engineers and designers.
• Help establish firm-wide electrical design standards and QA/QC reviews.
• Communicate design concepts and options clearly to clients and stakeholders.
