Job summary

BKV Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a PE license to lead electrical design for multi-family, commercial, and civic projects in Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL. The role emphasizes senior technical leadership, design direction, and mentorship across disciplines.

You will oversee power, lighting, and life-safety systems, coordinate with multiple teams, and guide QA/QC efforts while ensuring project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Minimum of 10 years of focused electrical building systems design experience.
Proficient with Autodesk Revit for electrical design and documentation.
Strong knowledge of NEC, energy codes (ASHRAE/IECC), IBC, and local codes.
Excellent communication skills with proven leadership in project teams.

Responsibilities

Provide senior technical leadership and design direction for electrical systems across projects.
Lead design and documentation for power, lighting, and life-safety systems.
Coordinate with architecture, structural, mechanical, and project management teams.
mentor engineers and staff; participate in QA/QC and client presentations.
Support construction administration through submittals, RFIs, and field reviews.
