BKV Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of focused building systems design to join our Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX practice. You will provide senior leadership, direct design and documentation, and mentor upcoming engineers across multi-family, commercial, and civic projects.

You will collaborate with architecture, structure, and MEP teams, lead QA/QC, supervise deliverables, and present options to clients and authorities while upholding NEC, ASHRAE/IECC codes and firm design

Formación

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 10 years of focused electrical building systems design experience (power distribution, lighting, life safety).
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit for electrical design and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead technical discussions and mentor staff.
• Knowledge of NEC, energy codes (ASHRAE/IECC), IBC, and local building codes.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze project design criteria, technical specifications, and performance parameters to engineer compliant electrical systems.
• Lead electrical engineering calculations, models, and construction document sets.
• Coordinate electrical design with architecture, structural, mechanical/plumbing, interior design, and PM teams.
• Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, RFIs, and field conditions.
• Provide technical mentorship and career guidance to engineers and designers.
• Develop and maintain firm-wide electrical design standards and QA/QC reviews.
• Communicate project status and engineering options clearly to clients and stakeholders.
