Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co‑Op/Intern to support multiple engineering tracks at PCA’s mills. The role offers exposure to reliability, project, and process control engineering tasks in a large, Fortune 500 company.

The successful candidate will work with cross‑functional teams, gain hands‑on experience with electrical systems, AutoCAD, and plant controls, and participate in safety‑driven projects across PCA’s 10 mill locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0 is required.
• Must be a permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license.
• Major in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field; freshman year completed or to be completed at time of co-op/internship.

Responsibilities

• Support reliability assignments to improve safety, equipment performance, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with reliability, maintenance, operations and mill personnel to troubleshoot issues.
• Apply predictive/preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and assist root-cause analyses.
• Assist with reliability projects and other tasks to support safe, efficient mill operations.
