Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) in Michigan is seeking an electrical engineering co-op. The role may lead to three potential titles: electrical reliability engineering co-op, electrical project engineering co-op, or process control engineering co-op.

You will support mill electrical systems and collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams. Qualified candidates will be electrical engineering majors, have completed freshman year, a 3.0 GPA, and be U.S.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0/4.0 minimum and permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license.
• Major in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field; freshman year completed by start.
• Preferred: current membership in the paper foundation at listed schools and enrollment at qualifying institutions.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical reliability assignments to improve mill safety, equipment performance, and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with reliability engineers, maintenance, operations, and mill personnel to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Assist with project engineering tasks including planning, design, installation, commissioning, and startup of mill electrical equipment.
• Support process control engineering and data analysis to aid troubleshooting and optimization.
