Job summary

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is seeking qualified Electrical Engineering students for a Summer–Fall 2027 co-op based in Wendell, North Carolina. As an intern in the Electrification and Automation division, you’ll support medium‑voltage power distribution projects, review drawings and technical documentation, and assist Lead Project Engineers with deliverables.

Applicants must be enrolled in the NC State University co‑op program, live within 50 miles of Wendell, and be legally eligible to work in

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and approaching completion.
• Completed coursework in Power Systems and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) during Summer and Fall 2027.

Responsibilities

• Supporting electrical engineering projects related to medium-voltage power distribution equipment.
• Reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation to support project execution.
• Assisting Lead Project Engineers with engineering deliverables and technical documentation.
• Supporting process improvement and engineering documentation initiatives.
• Gaining exposure to protection and power system concepts supporting data center and utility applications.
